RTP UPDATE: Ontario Government Sets New Spectator Capacity Limits
The Ontario Government Announced a Move to Modify the Spectator Capacity Limits
Hamilton, Ontario – The Ontario Government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced that, due to the rising of COVID-19 cases across the province there will be modifications put into effect on capacity limits at indoor sport and recreation facilities.
Per the Ontario Government, effective December 18th 2021, all indoor sports and recreational fitness venues will introduce a 50 percent capacity limit to venues with a capacity over 1000 persons.
These new capacity limits are only applicable to spectators. The limits on participants and facility staff remain unchanged.
