Football Ontario Seeking Head Coaches at the U14, U16, U18, and U19 Levels
Hamilton, Ontario – After a successful 2025 in which the organization earned 3 Gold Medals, 1 Silver, and 3 Bronze Medals, Football Ontario is looking forward to another successful High-Performance Year in 2026.
The Age Categories the organization is accepting applications for in 2026 are listed below:

2. ADMINISTRATION
- Keeping a list of player contact information, collected from interest forms, recruitment events and ID Camps. Included in this information should be:
- Football Ontario Numbers, Sizes, Positions, Full name (for Team O travel purposes), Parent contact information
- Keep a list of coaching staff contact information
3. COMMUNICATION
- Create and implement a clear line of communication for the coaching staff (e.g., WhatsApp) to share information between Football Ontario and the team’s parents, players and coaches
- Weekly communication/ updates with Football Ontario staff to identify concerns, questions
- Share Football Ontario documents with team (ensure players, parents and coaches have access)
- Provide key points and summaries of documents (e.g., Event Technical Packages) for staff to review and ensure staff signs off on communication to acknowledge receipt
- Promote events (ID Camps, recruitment opportunities) through social media to drive registration and player participation
4. HIGH PERFORMANCE PATHWAY
- Create a practice plan for ID Camps, Development Camp/ Training Camp
- Organize and attend virtual meetings and/ or in-person practices as required
- Consult with Football Ontario to register team in tournaments outside of Football Canada events
- Attend all in-person events (tentative dates and locations for 2025- 2026):
- ID Camps: September-October 2025
- Toronto
- Hamilton
- Ottawa
- Team Ontario Trials: November 2025
- Training Camp: May 2026
- National Tournament: May 2026
- ID Camps: September-October 2025
5. NATIONAL TOURNAMENT
- Maintain communication with parents (through WhatApp, TeamLinkt or email)
- Support coaching staff with supervision of players
- Make sure players are supervised going to team meals, taping/ therapy rooms
- Ensure players travel in groups (buddy system) when on campus
- Nightly room checks to follow curfew
- Note: knock at the door to remind players to go to bed in their respective rooms. You are not expected to enter their rooms unless there is an emergency.
