Football Ontario thanks Waterloo for Hosting RedBlack Weekend

Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the University of Waterloo, the Waterloo Warriors football program, the Waterloo Jr. Warriors, and Explore Waterloo Region for serving as outstanding hosts of RedBlack Weekend over the past two years.

RedBlack Weekend has become a signature part of Football Ontario’s high-performance male tackle pathway, providing a competitive environment for the top athletes at the U14, U16, and U18 age levels. The event has featured a full weekend of football for participating athletes with practices leading up to the annual Team Red v Team Black games.

In both years, the U18 Team Ontario Women’s Tackle Development Camp was also hosted at the University on the same weekend, helping advance Football Ontario’s commitment to growing the women’s game across Ontario. The alignment of these events created a unique atmosphere celebrating the sport at all levels and across all pathways.

Football Ontario is grateful to the University of Waterloo and the local football community for all the work put into these events. Their collaboration and support have played a key role in creating a memorable experience for all involved.
