Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario is seeking dedicated, energetic, and qualified individuals to join the Team Ontario Tackle Programs (Men’s and Women’s) for the 2027 season. Applications are open for three support positions across both streams: Assistant Coach, General Manager, and Equipment Manager.

2. COACHING & SUPPORT STAFF REQUIREMENTS
All selected staff (Assistant Coaches, General Managers, and Equipment Managers) must provide proof of the following prior to the program start date:
- Background Checks:
- Completed Vulnerable Sector Screening (completed within the last 6 months)
- Note: A Criminal Background Check (Level 2) or a Vulnerable Sector Screening from the last calendar year may be temporarily submitted while a new Vulnerable Sector Screening is being processed.
- Mandatory Training Modules (All Staff):
- Safe Sport Training
- Anti-Racism in Coaching
- Understanding the Rule of Two
- NCCP Making Ethical Decisions (MED)
- NCCP Making Head-Way in Football OR Making Headway in Sport
- Role-Specific Coaching Requirements (Assistant Coach Only):
- Mandatory: NCCP Safe Contact 2.0
- Recommended:

3. POSITIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
A. ASSISTANT COACH
- High-Performance Execution: Develop and implement detailed practice plans for ID Camps, Development Camps, RedBlack Weekend, Training Camp, and Championship Tournaments.
- Instruction & Player Feedback: Lead position-specific technical drills and construct athlete feedback that aligns with a high-performance standard—coaches are expected to be demanding, but never demeaning.
- Meetings & Culture: Participate in all required virtual planning meetings and in-person practices; assist in promoting Team Ontario events on social media; uphold the “Leave It Better” philosophy in all film sessions and team activities.
B. GENERAL MANAGER
- Football Operations & Staff Support: Support the coaching staff with football-related tasks and team operations throughout the season, including practice and game-day support, athlete management, event coordination, and other responsibilities as assigned. Support needs may vary by team, program phase, and event.
- Administrative Operations: Establish and manage clear communication channels between Football Ontario, coaching staff, athletes, and parents/caregivers while strictly following the Rule of Two in all virtual and in-person interactions.
- Logistics, Safety & Supervision: Ensure full compliance with player waivers and documentation; supervise athletes during transit, meals, and therapy sessions; enforce a buddy system for group transit on campus.
- Curfew Protocols: Perform nightly room checks to confirm curfew adherence (knocking to remind players without entering rooms unless in an emergency).
C. EQUIPMENT MANAGER
- Inventory & Field Operations: Oversee sizing, allocation, tracking, field setup, and teardown for all team gear, footballs, and headsets across all camp phases and tournaments.
- Maintenance & Facilities: Conduct continuous safety checks and repairs; maintain strict equipment room and sideline standards (“Respect the Place”).
- Logistics & Safety Support: Assist staff with venue logistics and athlete transit oversight during travel events.

- Resume with 3 coaching-related reference contacts (e.g., Head Coaches, Athletic Directors, or Sports Administrators).
- Record of NCCP Certification Card (or transcript showing completed required training).
- One Reference Letter highlighting your leadership and organizational skills (coaching-related preferred).
