Football Ontario Announces 2026 Eastern Challenge Roster

Football Ontario Announces U16 Team Ontario Top Athletes to Play in Sherbrooke

Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario has officially unveiled the U16 Men’s Team Ontario Tackle Roster that has been selected and invited to represent the province at the Football Canada Eastern Challenge at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, QC this summer.

Football Ontario is excited to unveil the final U16 Men’s Tackle Top 40 after months of hard work from all of the athletes, coaches, and volunteers throughout the entire identification and evaluation process.

“This year’s selection process showed just how much our game is growing across Ontario, and narrowing the field down to this group was one of the toughest jobs our staff has had. Every athlete who came through the process pushed us to make hard decisions, and the players who earned a spot on this roster did so by raising the standard for everyone around them.

What excites me most about this team isn’t only the athletic ability—it’s how coachable, accountable, and eager to learn these young men are. The U16 level is where a lot of athletes take the biggest leap in their development, and this group has the mindset and the work ethic to take that step together.

I want to thank the families, home clubs, and coaches who have poured into these athletes to get them here. From this point on, our job is to develop them, prepare them to compete against the best in the country, and make sure they represent Ontario the right way both on and off the field. We can’t wait to get to work in Sherbrooke.” says U16 Team Ontario HC, Kirby Camplin.

“Congratulations to the 40 young men who have earned the opportunity to represent the Team Ontario family. We look forward to seeing how your journey continues to unfold this July in Sherbrooke, Quebec.” says Football Ontario’s Director of Culture and Sport, JT Tsui.
