Football Ontario Announces U18 Team Ontario Top Athletes to Play in Winnipeg
Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario has officially unveiled the U18 Men’s Team Ontario Tackle Roster that has been selected and invited to represent the province at the Canada Cup in Winnipeg, MB this summer.
Football Ontario is excited to unveil the final U18 Men’s Tackle top athletes after months of hard work from all of the athletes, coaches, and volunteers throughout the entire identification and evaluation process.
“On behalf of our coaching staff, I want to congratulate every athlete selected to represent the 2026 Team Ontario U18 Men’s tackle team at the Canada Cup hosted in Winnipeg Manitoba. The process of building this roster was highly competitive, and each player earned their place through their commitment, work ethic, character, and performance on the field.
We are excited about the talent, leadership, and determination this group brings to our program. More importantly, these young men have demonstrated the values that define Team Ontario—accountability, resilience, and a commitment to excellence. While being named to the roster is a significant accomplishment, it is only the beginning of our journey together.
We look forward to continuing our preparation, representing Ontario with pride, and competing against the best athletes in the country. We are confident this team will make our province proud both on and off the field.” says U18 Team Ontario HC, Tommy Kanichis.
