Football Ontario Thanks Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Hamilton Tiger Cats Serve as Gold Sponsor Two Years Straight
Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario would like to thank the Hamilton Tiger-Cats organization for being a strong supporter of the Team Ontario U16 Male Tackle Program over the past two years, serving as a Gold Sponsor in both 2023 and 2024.
Over the course of two seasons the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club generously sponsored $20,000 to athletes in need as a part of both organizations’ desire to create inclusive opportunities and provide Football For ALL.
In total, these sponsorships provided 29 athletes with the opportunity to participate on the Team Ontario U16 Tackle teams and travel to compete in the Eastern Regional Challenge in 2023 and 2024 where the teams earned Silver in both competitions.
“It’s been great for me to see the Ticats step up and support grassroots football the way that they have, as a former player in the organization and a long time CFL player, it’s not lost on me that the future of the CFL is in these provincial and national teams in many ways. It’s fantastic to see that the Hamilton Tiger-Cats can see that value, and have helped us cut costs for so many players and families over the time I’ve been with Team Ontario. We look forward to working with them again this year.” says Team Ontario Head Coach, Kamau Peterson.
Football Ontario is again working with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats this upcoming weekend as they are playing host to one of Football Ontario’s Team Ontario Flag Identification Camps. Football Ontario hopes to continue working with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to provide opportunities for athletes and continue to grow the game.
