Football Ontario Seeks to Various Fill Team Ontario Positions

Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario is currently accepting applications for a variety of roles with the Team Ontario senior women’s tackle football program for the 2025 season.

Job Description and Coach Responsibilities Below

The coaches and staff will work closely with the U18 Women’s Tackle Team Ontario coaching staff and Football Ontario staff. To assist with team selections, coaches may be required to attend identification, development, or selection camps in addition to events such as the Women’s Tackle National Championship.

STAFF ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1.  ADMINISTRATION
  2. Support in maintaining up-to-date player and coach contact information, distribute Football Ontario communications and encourage other members of staff to read/ sign off on documents


2. COMMUNICATION

  • Communicate meetings and important dates with the team (coaching staff, players)
  • Suggestion: Choose a form of communication that you will use consistently (e.g., TeamLinkt, WhatsApp)
  • Outreach/ communication with community partners to recruit volunteers for events and sponsors
  • Participate at in-person and virtual fundraising / sponsorship opportunities as required (e.g., Ribfest, Momentum Fundraising)
  • Promote events through social media to drive registration and player participation

3. HIGH PERFORMANCE PATHWAY

  1. Working with coaching support staff, create a practice plan for ID Camps, Development Camp and Training Camp to share in advance and assign roles to coaching staff
  2. Support development of Regional Pathway and teams
  3. Help to organize and attend virtual sessions/ meetings (e.g., positional meetings are at the discretion of HC)
  4. Attend all in-person events (tentative dates and locations for 2024/ 2025):
  • Identification Camps: Fall, 2024
  • Development Camp: Spring, 2025
  • Training Camp: July, 2025
  • National Championship : July, 2025

4. NATIONAL TOURNAMENT

  1. Collaborate with coaching staff to create practice plans and meetings
  2. Attend all team activities: practices, socials, meetings, as scheduled
