Team Ontario Wins 2024 Canada Cup!
Football Ontario Claims Gold for the First Time Since 2014 on National Stage
Hamilton, Ontario – Team Ontario has claimed Gold at the 2024 Canada Cup, securing a thrilling victory over Team Quebec at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan. This remarkable achievement marks Ontario’s first Gold at the Canada Cup since 2014, breaking a decade-long drought and maintaining the organization’s goal of setting a standard of excellence in Canadian football.

The 2024 Canada Cup saw Team Ontario win three straight games, winning decisive quarter-final and semi-final matchups against Team Nova Scotia and Team Saskatchewan before moving onto their matchup with Team Quebec in the Gold Medal Game.
The Gold Medal Game saw Team Ontario put together their most complete game of the tournament, coming out with a 45-7 victory.
Riley Chalmers was the Offensive MVP of the Gold Medal Game, finishing 10-15 for 147 yards through the air and posted an efficiency rating of 170.4. Dylan Tharby was named Defensive MVP with two interceptions, including one returned for a TD and 3.5 tackles.
The organizations looks at this event as ushering in a new age of High-Performance football in the province and hopes to see further success both at National Events this year and into the future.
