Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario is thrilled to announce the organization is now currently accepting applications for the head coaching position with the Team Ontario SR Women’s Tackle Program.

HEAD COACH ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1.  ADMINISTRATION
  1. Support Team’s General Manager to maintain up-to-date player and coach contact information, distribute Football Ontario communications and encourage coaching staff to read/ sign off on documents
  2. Support team fundraising initiatives (in-person and online), where applicable


2. COMMUNICATION

  1. Communicate meetings and important dates with the team (coaching staff, players)
  • Suggestion: Choose a form of communication that you will use consistently (e.g., TeamLinkt, WhatsApp)
  • Work with GM to create a working document with questions for Football Ontario
  1. Outreach/ communication with community partners to recruit volunteers for events and sponsors
  2. Promote events (ID Camps, recruitment opportunities) through social media to drive registration and player participation

3. HIGH PERFORMANCE PATHWAY

  1. Working with coaching support staff, create a practice plan for ID Camps, Development Camp and Training Camp to share in advance and assign roles to coaching staff
  2. Help to organize and attend virtual sessions/ meetings  (e.g., positional meetings are at the discretion of HC)
  3. Attend all in-person events (tentative dates and locations for 2024): 
    • ID Camps:
      • Fall 2024
    • Development Camps:
      • TBD 2025
  • Training Camp
    • Summer 2025
  • National Championship
    • Summer 2025

4. NATIONAL TOURNAMENT

  1. During the tournament, maintain communication (through WhatApp, TeamLinkt or email)
  2. Work with GM to coordinate meeting times
  3. Create a detailed practice plans for practices
  4. Attend positional meetings to support coaching staff
