Football Ontario Announces 2024 Women’s FootbALL Conference Scholarship Recipient

Women’s FootbALL Conference Scholarship

Hamilton, Ontario – The 2nd Annual Women’s FootbALL Conference has provided an athletic scholarship for Team Ontario Red U18 Women’s Tackle athlete, Favor Ebenki.

The Women’s FootbALL Conference was founded in 2022, with the goal of providing education, mentorship, inspiration, and networking opportunities for women and gender minorities with a passion for football. The 2nd Annual Conference was hosted March 1-3, 2024 at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, ON, and saw over 60 participants and 30+ presenters throughout the weekend. The WFC Scholarship is funded through the profits from the 2nd Annual Women’s FootbALL Conference.

The recipient of the WFC Scholarship, Favor Ebenki (Defensive Line), was selected based on her continued leadership in women’s football. Favor demonstrates outstanding talent with aspirations of playing on the provincial team, and currently competes for the OWFL Peel Panthers U19 Women’s Tackle program. The WFC Scholarship will fully fund Favor’s trip to the National Championship tournament this summer.

Favor is now a part of the WFC family, and we wish her all the best at Nationals.”
