Football Ontario Announces 2024 Women’s Flag Team Ontario Rosters

Football Ontario Announces All Five Team Ontario Flag Rosters Women’s All Star National Championships

Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario has officially unveiled the Women’s Flag Team Ontario Final Rosters that have been selected and invited to represent the province in Kingston, ON for the 2024 Flag All-Star National Championships. 

Ontario will be sending 5 teams to the National event, with two teams in the U14 division, and one team each in the U16, U18 and 18 divisions.

Football Ontario is excited to unveil the final rosters as well as the reserve players after months of hard work from all of the athletes, coaches, and volunteers throughout the entire identification and evaluation process. 

Football Ontario would like to give a special thank you to each of the coaching staffs’. Melissa Greico and Alysha Emerson with the 18 team; Stephanie Thinn and Jori Ritchie with the U18 team; Thalia Wright and Cassandra Cantarutti with the U16 team; and Kate Brandon, Lauren Mulkerns, Darryl Narain, and Adam Bestard with the U14 teams. These coaches have put a tremendous amount of work in throughout the entire process, both evaluating and coaching up the many talented athletes across the province.

These rosters will showcase the development of women’s flag programming in Ontario and provide high performance opportunities for 70+ women’s athletes in the province” says Emily Todd, Director of Development and Administration with Football Ontario.

Football Ontario is excited to have the opportunity to return to Flag Nationals and compete for Gold in each division after a promising showing at last year’s championships in which our girls teams earned 4 medals at the championship tournaments in 2023.
