The coaching staff is to be led by returning Head Coach Kamau Peterson, who the organization believes will build upon his successes at the 2023 Eastern Regional and lead the programs’ continued growth.

The 2024 staff has a ton of returning faces to the Team Ontario program paired with a vast amount of both coaching and playing experience and successes. The entire 2024 staff is listed below:

“I’m beyond excited to be returning the majority of our staff, and while we will miss coach Durand and are very grateful for his contribution last year, we’re very excited to continue to offer opportunities for strong coaches to come in and be a part of a very special group. I enjoyed every aspect of the process last year and can’t wait to get started this year and see if we can’t improve on the strong showing we had last year” says returning U16 Head Coach, Kamau Peterson.

Football Ontario is excited to have this talented and experienced staff lead the Team Ontario program and players to a successful year and a successful 2024 Eastern Regional. The staff provides top level coaches which will help the players in both their practical football techniques and skills as well as help further their exposure.

“We are enthused to welcome back Coach Peterson and our U16 Men’s Tackle coaching staff for the 2024 Team Ontario process. This year, our U16 program took a massive leap forward both on and off the football field. From 2022 to 2023, we saw an increase of 100%+ more people coming out for U16 Team Ontario ID Camps and this speaks volumes about the experience our student-athletes get when working with Coach Peterson and our coaching staff. I look forward to seeing what is in store for our U16 Team Ontario family moving forward” says JT Tsui, Football Ontario’s Director of Sport.
