Football Ontario is Seeking 12 Assistant Coaches for the U14 Male Team Ontario Tackle Program
Football Ontario Hiring U14 Male Tackle Coaches
Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario is now accepting applications for assistant coaching positions with the U14 Male’s Team Ontario tackle football team. Football Ontario will be hiring 12 coaches to fill these roles. The organization would like to select two coaches from each of the following regions, however, it is at the judgement of the hiring committee based on the number of candidates and the credentials of those candidates.
Preference will be given to the top candidates who embody the organization’s values regardless of geographical region.
REGIONS
- 2 from North Western Ontario (Sudbury to Sault Ste Marie)
- 2 from North Eastern Ontario(401 Quinte to Ottawa)
- 2 from GTA East (Markham to Durham/Scarborough to Aurora)
- 2 from GTA West (Vaughan to Brampton/Missassauga/Toronto)
- 2 from South Eastern Ontario(403 Oakville to Niagara)
- 2 from South Western Ontario (401 Halton to Windsor)

ASSISTANT COACH ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- ADMINISTRATION
- Support GM and HC to maintain up-to-date player and coach contact information, distribute Football Ontario communications and sign off on relevant documents
2. COMMUNICATION
- Assist HC and GM with any communication needs
- Outreach/ communication with community partners to recruit volunteers for events and sponsors
- Promote events (ID Camps, recruitment opportunities) through social media to drive registration and player participation
3. HIGH PERFORMANCE PATHWAY
- Collaborate with rest of staff to create a practice plan for ID Camps, Development Camp and Training Camp
- Attend virtual sessions/meetings (e.g., positional meetings are at the discretion of HC)
- Attend in-person events (tentative dates and locations for 2024):
- ID Camps:
- Southern Ontario ID Camp: January 13, 2024
- GTA ID Camp: January 27, 2024
- Eastern ID Camp: February 24/25, 2024
- Northern ID Camp: Date TBD
- Development Camps:
- Hamilton Development Camp: April 6/7
- GTA Development Camp: April 13/14
- RedBlack Weekend, May 10-12 – London
- ID Camps:
4. RED BLACK WEEKEND
- Collaborate with Coaching Staff to make Team Red/ Black selections
- Support other coaches with supervision of players throughout the weekend
