Football Ontario Announces Seeks Bids Provincial Championships in 2024 and 2025

Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario and the Ontario Summer Football League are announcing that bids are open to host sites for the 2024 and 2025  Football Ontario Summer Cup Provincial Championships.

Football Ontario is seeking to host the 2024 Summer Cup in Eastern Ontario and the 2025 Summer Cup in Western Ontario.

The Football Ontario Summer Cup is the culmination of the playoffs in the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL) with the victors of the Summer Cup being crowned the OSFL and Provincial Champion at each age group. The Football Ontario Summer Cup is the largest amateur tackle football event held in Ontario with 38 teams, and 1500+ participants taking part in the event this  season.

The Summer Cup will take place over the span of two weekends and consists of four tiers of championships at each age group. 

In 2022, the event had over 8000 spectators and sold 6000 tickets (Kids Under-12 Free). To go along with these in-person spectators, the 2022 Summer Cup stream also had another 10 000 unique viewers over this two week period of games.

The chosen host facility must have in place:

  • Turf Field
  • Change Rooms
  • Stands/Spectator Area
  • Concessions
  • Press Box
  • Volunteer Infrastructure
  • Other Amenities to be Considered 

The most competitive and comprehensive bids will be reviewed by the selection committee for consideration.

All bids will be reviewed and decided upon based on favourable host support and amenities. The deadline to submit applications is October 1/23
