Football Ontario Announces U16 Team Ontario Eastern Challenge Roster
Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario has officially unveiled the U16 Male Tackle Team Ontario Final Roster that has been selected and invited to represent the province at the Eastern Challenge in Sackville, NB this summer.
Football Ontario is excited to unveil the final U16 Male Tackle Top 40 after months of hard work from all of the athletes, coaches, and volunteers throughout the entire identification and evaluation process.
“Picking the top 40 players in the province has been a gruelling process at every cut, which is exactly what you want when you’re building a team hoping to perform against some of the best provinces in the country. These young men have been tremendous at each level, and the top 40 are not only talented but also highly competitive. We are ALL IN and excited for the final phase of this journey.” says U16 Head Coach, Kamau Peterson.

Football Ontario is thrilled to have the opportunity to return to the Eastern Challenge in 2023 and compete for the gold medal.
“Congratulations to these strong and powerful young men who have earned the privilege to represent our province at the 2023 Eastern Regional Challenge this July in Sackville, New Brunswick. Thank you to all of our student-athletes, parents and community partners who have been part of the Team Ontario process this year. A special thank you to our U16 coaching staff led by our Head Coach, Kamau Peterson, for being great teachers and mentors to these young men.
