York University, Director, Athletics, Announces York HC Position Application Portal Extended

York Lions Football Head Coach Application Deadline has been Extended

Hamilton, Ontario – This open letter and announcement is to let the entire Football Ontario community know that the application portal for the York University Head Football Coach position has been extended until Sunday, February 26th. 

“On February 9th, I Alex Dominato was honoured to be publicly named as the next Director, Athletics for the York University Lions. Out of the gate, our first goal is to identify the absolute best potential coaching candidates that have the ability to be the next Head Football Coach to represent the Lion Pride with integrity, vision and leadership. This is a responsibility that I do not take lightly as the next Head Football Coach for the Lions represents an incredible group of student-athletes, coaches, support staff, faculty and alumni. 

There are only 11 head coaching positions within the OUA and 27 within all of Canada. I wholeheartedly believe this is an incredible opportunity for the right individual to make an impact and with a renewed vision for success for the entire department, the next York Lions Head Football Coach will have the tools to grow and succeed.  

I encourage all applicants that are ready to take the next step in their career that have demonstrated some of the following, leading a positive team culture, developing student-athletes physically and mentally, supporting academic success, creating inclusive spaces, developing on-field success and the ability to recruit upstanding young men then York University would like to hear from you.
