Football Ontario Announces Girl’s Flag Football Futures Super Camp
Girl’s Flag Football Camp to be held February 11, 2023
Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario has announced the Girl’s Flag Football Super Camp. The event will be held February 11, 2023 at Soccer World in Hamilton.
What is slated to be our largest girls and women flag football event to date, Football Ontario is excited to provide this opportunity to girls between the ages of 12- 18.
The event will run from 1pm – 5pm and the cost to register is $50. Registration fee includes a Football Ontario shirt and a player card to record their combine skill results. Participants will receive coaching from some of the best coaches in Southwestern Ontario, and will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in combine style drills.
“Football Ontario aims to create opportunities that promote football for all. This event encourages women and girls to be involved in the sport and demonstrates the need for girls-only football programming within the province. We value women and girls within the football community, and I am excited to be a part of creating inclusive events where anyone can play football,” says Emily Todd, Programs Manager with Football Ontario.
“Personally, football has played an integral role in my identity formation. My love of the game as a child has stayed with me and my goal is to create spaces where young women can come together to find the same joy and passion in football as I did. At its core, football is about community, and that is what this program seeks to do and I am beyond thrilled to be a part of that,” says Alexia Tam, member of Football Ontario Board of Directors.
Are you new to the game – but have always wanted to try? Or have you played before but are looking to refine your skills and meet new people? Either way this Super Camp is for you. It promises to be a football-filled day that builds skill, community, and friendship!
