NextGEN/NextSTEP Conference to be Held in April

NextGEN/NextSTEP Conference to be held April 9th and 10th

Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario is pleased to share news about a brand new conference called NextGEN/NextSTEP that helps young athletes plan their path in sport and life.

The conference brings together a diverse mixture of world-class athletes, coaches, and experts who understand what it takes. Over a day-and-a-half, speakers will share their perspectives, gained through real-life experiences in their world of sport, to help aspiring young athletes plan their next steps.

Beyond insights, candid storytelling, and Q&A opportunities, each athlete will walk away with a personalized Athlete Action Plan to guide them through the next steps of their athletic journey.

Speakers include Olympic athletes, high-performance coaches, sport executives, and other experts in their field.

The conference is universal to all sport and focuses on the behind the scenes efforts to achieve your goals.

Who Should Consider Attending?

  • U12 – U18 athletes aspiring for university-level or international competition.  To get the most out of the Athlete Action Planning, athletes should attend with a parent or coach.
  • Teams/Clubs interested in sending multiple athletes should consider an Access Partnership to realize further benefits.
