Football Ontario Announces the 2023 Fall Cup to Decide the Provincial Champions

Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario is excited to announce the 2023 Football Ontario Fall Cup to crown a fall provincial champion will be held in Burlington on November 17-18. The event will be hosted by the Burlington Minor Football Association (BMFA) and all of the championship games will take place at Nelson Stadium.

“The BMFA is honoured to host the championship weekend, and our team is hard at work to make the event a memorable experience for those competing and spectating.” says Matt McLeod, President of the Burlington Minor Football Association.

The 2023 Fall Cup games will take place between the top teams in the Ontario Fall Football League (OFFL) and the top teams in the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) to determine the top programs in the province. For the first time ever, the Fall Cup will also include the Provincial Championship for the Ontario Women’s Football League (OWFL).

“Football is community. The Fall Cup is living proof that our youth football community is thriving across the province. NCAFA can’t wait to see all our friends in the OFFL” said Gawain Harding, President of NCAFA.

The 2023 Fall Cup will bring in the Tier 1 Championship teams from both the OFFL and NCAFA as well as the Tier 2 Champions from each league to compete in a single championship game at the U14 and U12 level with the winners being declared the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Provincial Champions.

In the U10 age categories the top two teams from both the OFFL and NCAFA will participate in a jamboree style day, the jamboree will be played at 6-a-side.

“The OFFL is looking forward to meeting up with our fall counterparts NCAFA. This is such a great event and opportunity for our young men and women to play an Ontario championship. Thank you to the BMFA for hosting this fall and thanks to Football Ontario to ensure this great event continue” says OFFL President, Mike Fascione.
