Football Ontario is Seeking Regional Support Coaches for the Men’s and Women’s Team Ontario Tackle Programs
Football Ontario Hiring Regional Tackle Coaches for ID Camps
Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario is now accepting applications for regional support coaching positions for the Team Ontario Tackle Football Program to assist at 2026 Futures ID Camps.
Football Ontario has created these regional support coaching positions as an entryway for community coaches into the Team Ontario Tackle Program.
The organization would like to select coaches from each of the following regions, however, it is at the judgement of the hiring committee based on the number of candidates and the credentials of those candidates.
Preference will be given to the top candidates who embody the organization’s values regardless of geographical region.
REGIONS
- Eastern Ontario (Ottawa)
- Northern Ontario (Sudbury)
- Western Ontario (Waterloo)
- GTA (Toronto)

REGIONAL SUPPORT COACH ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- ADMINISTRATION
- Support GM and HC, distribute Football Ontario communications to local network
2. COMMUNICATION
- Assist HC and GM with any communication needs
- Outreach/ communication with regional community partners to recruit volunteers for events and sponsors
- Promote events (ID Camps, recruitment opportunities) through social media to drive registration and player participation
3. HIGH PERFORMANCE PATHWAY
- Collaborate with rest of staff to create a practice plan for Regional ID Camp
- Attend virtual sessions/meetings as required
- Attend Regional in-person ID Camp (tentative dates and locations for 2025):
- ID Camps:
- Waterloo ID Camp: January 11
- Toronto ID Camp (Women’s): January 17
- Toronto ID Camp (Men’s): January 18
- Carleton ID Camp (Women’s): February 14
- Carleton ID Camp (Men’s): February 15
- Sudbury ID Camp: February 21
- ID Camps:
Coaches are only expected to attend one Futures Identification Camp.
Application Process:
To be considered for the position, applicants must submit the following:
- Cover Letter – please indicate what program you would like to assist with (Male Tackle or Women’s Tackle).
- Resume including contact information for 3 references
- Record of NCCP Coach Requirements completed to date
- Background check
- One reference letter highlighting why they would be the ideal candidate for the position they are seeking.
- This can include:
- Leadership qualities and characteristics
- Unique and specific skills that could enhance the staff
- Lived experience up to this point
- This can include:
