Football Ontario Announces 2025 Football Weekend in Ontario

The Fourth Annual Football Weekend in Ontario to be held November 15-16

Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario has announced the fourth annual Football Weekend in Ontario will be taking place the weekend of November 15-16. Programming takes place in both Pickering and Ottawa including tackle and flag football events.

FALL CUP – November 15th, Pickering, ON

In Pickering, on November 15th, the 2025 Football Ontario Fall Cup is set to declare the fall provincial champions between the top teams in the Ontario Fall Football League (OFFL) and the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA). This event will take place at the Pine Ridge High School and will be hosted by the Durham Dolphins.

Tickets to the Fall Cup will be available soon.

The 2025 Fall Cup will bring in the Tier 1 Championship teams from both the OFFL and NCAFA as well as the Tier 2 Champions from each league to compete in a single championship game at the U14 and U12 level with the winners being declared the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Provincial Champions. 

In the U10 age category the top two teams from both the OFFL and NCAFA will participate in a jamboree style day, the jamboree will be played at 6-a-side.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15

U10 Jamboree G1 and G2: 9am (OFFL U10 Team 1 v NCAFA Team 1/OFFL U10 Team 2 v NCAFA U10 Team 2)

U10 Jamboree G3 and G4: 9:50m (OFFL U10 Team 1 v NCAFA U10 Team 2/OFFL U10 Team 2 v NCAFA U10 Team 1)

U12 Tier 2 Championship: 11am (OFFL U12 Tier 2 Champion v NCAFA U12 Tier 2 Champion)

U12 Tier 1 Championship: 1:30pm (OFFL U12 Tier 1 Champion v NCAFA U12 Tier 1 Champion)

U14 Tier 2 Championship: 4pm (OFFL U14 Tier 2 Champion v NCAFA U14 Tier 2 Champion)

U14 Tier 1 Championship: 7pm (OFFL U14 Tier 1 Champion v NCAFA U14 Tier 1 Champion)

Flag Football in the Nations Capital – November 15th-16th, Ottawa

In parallel, the weekend’s festivities will continue in Ottawa on both November 15th and 16th and will be hosted by the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Gee-Gee’s.

The highlights of this weekend in Ottawa include the fourth annual Canadian Collegiate Women’s Flag (CCWF) Challenger (formerly Showcase), as well as the 2026 Team Ontario Flag Selection Trials.

Canadian Collegiate Women’s Flag (CCWF) Challenger – November 15-16th, Ottawa

The CCWF Challenger will feature twelve collegiate women’s flag football teams, with the top 6 teams from both Ontario and Quebec all competing in a two day tournament to be held on November 15th and 16th at Matt Anthony Field.

Games will be taking place from 4pm-8pm on Saturday and the tournament will continue into Sunday with games starting at 8am and finishing up at 5pm.

Tickets for this event will be available soon. A weekend pass will be available for only $10 and will grant you access to all the action all weekend long.

Team Ontario Selection Trials –  November 15, Ottawa

The Team Ontario Selection Trials will be taking place at the University of Ottawa on Saturday, November 15th from 9am-4pm and will feature the Top 30 athletes across 8 divisions (U14, U16, U18, and U19 Boys and Girls) competing for a final spot on the final roster for the Team Ontario Flag Program that will attend the Elite Flag National Championships in May of 2026.

This week and weekend will be a total celebration of football and Football Ontario is thrilled to have the opportunity to assist with hosting this event alongside our partners, and to lead a successful weekend.
