Football Ontario Announces Three 2025 Flag Championship Events

Football Ontario Announces High School Girls’ Flag Provincials, Club Flag Provincials, and Club Flag Nationals to be held in the Summer of 2025 

Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario is proud to announce three premier flag football events set to take place across the province this summer. These flagship events will be hosted in partnership with the Buffalo Bills and NFL Canada, continuing the momentum behind the growth of flag football in Ontario.

The 2025 championship lineup includes:

• 2025 High School Girls’ Flag Provincial Championships:
    McMaster University, Hamilton, ON
  June 10, 2025
  
• 2025 Football Ontario Club Flag Provincial Championships, powered by Under Armour Flag:
    Fountain Street Soccer Complex, Cambridge, ON
  July 19-20, 2025
  
• 2025 Football Canada Club Flag National Championships:
  Creditview Sandalwood Park, Brampton, ON
  August 15–17, 2025

The inaugural 2025 High School Girls’ Flag Provincial Championship will play host to two different divisions (JR and SR) over 30 total teams, and 11 different school boards from across the province all being represented. Each participating school will be  receiving an official NFL Flag Kit to continue developing their flag football programs within their schools. 

This tournament represents a milestone for the growth of Flag Football within the province as the first ever high-school provincial championship for girls flag football.

The 2025 Football Ontario Club Flag Provincial Championships aims to be the largest flag football event to date. The event will be hosted in Cambridge by Under Armour Flag and there will be a total of 9 divisions represented. 

The team registration fee for the Provincial Championships is set at $699.99 but Football Ontario is offering an Early-Bird discount of $649.99 for all teams that register prior to June 16. The deadline to register a team is June 30, 2025.

The 2025 Club Provincial Championships are exclusively open to Football Ontario members and high-school clubs. Any team that participates within the tournament also receives the opportunity to attend the National Championships to be held in Brampton in August.

• U16 Men (2010/11)
• U16 Women (2010/11)
• U14 Men (2012/13)
• U14 Women (2012/13)
• U12 Mixed (2014/15)

Football Ontario is also thrilled to once again be hosting the Club Flag National Championships for the second consecutive year in 2025. 

The Club Flag Nationals will be open to all clubs that are members in good standing with their PSO and have completed any requirements by their respective PSO to attend. 

The tournament fee fee for each participating team will be $700. Team registration will be done by Football Ontario.

The event is set to feature 4 different age categories, and 8 total divisions with the aim of 80+ teams and 800+ total athletes from all across Canada.

The cost to register for the National Championships team registration fee is set at $899.99 but Football Ontario is offering an Early-Bird discount of $699.99 for all teams that register prior to July 17. The deadline to register a team is July 31, 2025.
